The Curió is very popular cage birds in Brazil. They belong to the finch species Oryzoborus angolensis. They are highly prized for his incredible song and brave.

The word curió is a native South American word meaning man's friend, as the Curio likes to inhabit forest clearing near native people's villages.The Curio measures approximately 5.2 inches in length. The male is black on the back, head and neck with a dark chestnut color over the breast. The Bicudo measures approximately 6.4 inches in length. The male is black. They also have a white spot on the tip of both wings. The hens and youngsters are uniformly brown. They will acquire his adult plumage coloring by 12 to 18 months. They usually achieve sexual maturity and are able to breed by 8-12 months of age.
